This test allows us to detect the <em>presence of blood in the stool that cannot be seen with the naked eye.<\/em><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The occult blood test is an important diagnostic tool used in the early detection of gastrointestinal diseases such as polyps, ulcerative colitis, Crohn&#8217;s disease, and malignant tumors of the digestive tract.<\/p>\n<h2>Why is the stool test for occult bleeding important?<\/h2>\n<p>The Fecal Occult Blood Test (FOBT) is a significant test used for <strong>screening cancer, precancerous conditions, and other digestive tract conditions.<\/strong> This test can be used for both preventive and diagnostic purposes.<\/p>\n<p>FOBT is used as a screening test to check for the presence of disease in situations where there are no visible signs or symptoms.
