Sample collection

For accurate results, taking at least three samples over 7-10 days is recommended, as parasites may be shed intermittently. Additional samples may be necessary if the first sample is negative but symptoms persist. Samples should be refrigerated if they can’t be delivered to the lab immediately but should be submitted within 24 hours.
