The IntroLab laboratory in Belgrade offers the advanced 10+10 HTCH analysis for inhalant and food allergens, providing you with reliable and accurate results for optimal allergy management.
What is the 10+10 HTCH for inhalants and food allergens?
The 10+10 HTCH is a specialized allergy testing panel that covers the ten most common inhalant and ten most common food allergens. This panel enables a comprehensive analysis and precise diagnosis of allergies to various types of allergens, such as pollen, dust mites, different types of food, and others.
When is the test performed?
Testing for inhalant allergens is usually recommended for seasonal or chronic respiratory symptoms, such as sneezing and a runny nose. Testing for food allergens is often necessary when a person experiences unexplained digestive issues or anaphylactic reactions after eating certain foods. The analysis may be performed on a doctor’s recommendation to determine the most effective treatment strategy in both cases.
How is the sample taken?
Testing for inhalants and food allergens is typically done through a blood test that measures the level of IgE antibodies. A blood sample is taken from a vein, usually from the inside of the elbow or the back of the hand. In the laboratory, the concentration of total and specific IgE antibodies targeted against certain allergens, such as pollen, dust, or specific foods, is measured. The results of these tests help diagnose allergies and determine the most effective treatment.
