The ICA At analysis is a blood analysis conducted at the IntroLab in Belgrade to measure the presence of ICA At (autoantibodies against pancreatic cells). This test is used in the diagnosis and monitoring of autoimmune type 1 diabetes and is also one of the blood tests for diabetes.

The presence of antibodies to ICA (islet cells of the pancreas) represents an early marker of pancreatic beta-cell destruction. These antibodies can be found in the blood up to 10-15 years before the onset of type 1 diabetes. Detecting ICA antibodies does not necessarily indicate the future development of diabetes. However, the likelihood of development is higher if the antibodies are present or if there is a family history of type 1 diabetes.
